Hey y’all, I hope you’re having a great week and have a bunch of things planned for this weekend! Abe and I barely have any time together, so when he has some time off we try to make it fun and make it count. We decided that a fun date would be to walk around Easton Mall. We normally go out to Polaris, since half the time we end up wanting to shop on the day it rains–go figure! So this was an adventure for both of us!
I just love walking through Easton! So many stores that I would DIE to be able to purchase things some day. Among my favorites include Kate Spade, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, and Nordstrom. 🙂
Abe actually helped me cross a couple things off of my bucket list! He took me to the Louis Vuitton store where I was able to see all of my favorite bags and travel accessories. (If I could afford it, I would totally be a Louis girl). We then went to Tiffany & Co. (fitting since it’s my name, right?) And I was able to look at wedding bands and even try them on! I was too geeked. 🙂
On our way from Nordstrom, I decided to play the tourist and asked Abe to take pictures at this phone booth. Wouldn’t anybody else? Gave me London vibes, for free without the long flight…score!
For those who have asked me to include details about my outfits, I’ve linked similar items below. My shorts are actually on sale for $14.99 right now!
We were starving, so we decided to try something new at Easton: Condado’s Tacos, & let me tell you–best taco place ever! We were so impressed.
The decor was very bright and eclectic, which is very different from any other Mexican restaurant we have been to in the area. Abe was very impressed with the food he ordered as well, heck we were impressed with the chips and salsa! 😉 If you’re ever in the Columbus area, I would definitely recommend Condado’s Tacos to y’all!
After Condado’s Tacos, we decided to take another stroll through Easton, and even found a store where we found some new things for our Oliver pup! He’s been very anxious when it comes to car rides and loud noises outside, so we have been trying COSEQUIN Calm from Chewy, and we are also looking into an anxiety harness as well. Have any of you had experience with these for your pets? I’m interested in how well that they work!
We decided to get a smoothie to-go for the road. This was the first time we had tried Zest Co. as well, although I have followed them on Instagram for the longest time! I have to say that we were really impressed with how good it was. We wanted something healthy, but sweet after our lunch so we opted for the Peanut Butter and Jelly smoothie which had berries, cashew milk, and peanut butter…so good!
Once we got home, I worked on some blogging while Abe went for his daily workout. We decided we wanted something lighter for dinner so we made a grilled chicken salad and fresh green beans! We also shared some tortilla chips and guacamole. This is probably one of my favorite meals to be honest. 🙂
This salad includes:
grilled chicken (cut into slices)
The green beans were cooked over the stovetop. First I used about a Tablespoon of Olive Oil to coat the bottom of the pan, and then piled in the green beans. After I let them simmer for about 7 minutes, I added garlic and onion powder and let cook for another 8 minutes and they were good to go! SO GOOD.
To my U.S. readers, were any of you in the path of totality with last week’s solar eclipse? We got about 86% coverage, so it didn’t get as dark but it was pretty neat to experience! I’m honestly really excited for 2024, as our hometown will be in the path of totality so I’m sure we will get to experience more of it which is pretty exciting to me!
The following pictures are not mine, nor do I claim them. Most were found from the NASA Facebook page if you would like to see more. 🙂
